Glass-Media Named JCK Think Tank Finalist

In recent years, we’ve designed, developed and commercialized a number of unique solutions tailored for the jewelry and fashion accessory industries. A number of our strategic partners in the fixture design space recommended that we consider attending and showcasing at JCK Las Vegas which took place between May 31st and June 4th this year.

JCK Las Vegas is the leading jewelry event in North America. In 2019, the show brought together over 2,200 exhibitors and 30,000 industry professionals. For the first time in the show’s history, JCK announced that it would curate a Retail Innovation Lab highlighting a number of emerging technologies. Our team was both honored and humbled to have been extended an invitation to participate.

In addition to our participation in the Retail Innovation Lab, we submitted an application to present our technology/solutions on the main stage through the JCK Think Tank program. After careful review, a total of six exhibitors were selected, Glass-Media being one of them. We presented alongside a number of innovative companies, one of which was Podium – a leader in customer review management that has raised almost $100MM in funding over four rounds.

If you work within the jewelry and/or fashion accessory industries, consider enhancing customer experience through Glass-Media highly unique and custom-tailored digital activations, several of which are highlighted below.

Dynamic Fixtures

Through the merging of physical and digital, we designed a number of dynamic fixtures in collaboration with Pacific Northern that were first showcased at GlobalShop 2018 – the leading retail design, planning and merchandising expo & conference that takes place in Chicago. We sourced a number of commercial-grade monitors with unique aspect ratios and embedded them within a wide range of fixture products. All in all, the dynamic fixtures received a very warm response from expo attendees which led to a number of brand collaborations.

Digital Storefront, Vinyl-Digital Hybrid

Through the combination of a glass vinyl graphic and our liquid crystal glass cling, we’re able to revitalize physical retail storefronts through the latest in projection-based display technology. From a visual storytelling standpoint, projection-based digital storefronts are a fantastic way of captivating window shoppers and passersby. As a result, our clients are able to consistently drive incremental foot traffic and conversion.

Projection-based Augmented Reality, Dynamic Forms

Neck forms are widely used throughout the jewelry and accessory industries. From a merchandising standpoint, it’s an arduous process to frequently swap pieces of jewelry and if the piece does not stand out, it fails to engage those passing by. Through projection-based augmented reality, we’re able to project digital images of jewelry directly onto a form that looks incredibly realistic and this can all be done remotely via the cloud. Because the jewelry projected is only virtual, theft becomes a non-issue and so do compliance infractions. All of our solutions are cloud-based, we have a strict zero reliance on store personnel.
